Product reviews are the key factor driving online sales up by 10-20%. They build trust and tell much about the product - over 50% of customers rely on feedback rather than product descriptions when deciding to buy. Yet, unlike large e-commerce platforms with high sales volumes generating dozens of reviews of any kind, most SMBs struggle to accumulate them, with only 5-10% of their products receiving customer feedback.
To solve this problem, we created ProdEye - a B2B platform for sharing product reviews across the web stores of our clients. Once a review for a particular product was added to one of the clients' websites and passed moderation, it was shown across all the websites that had identical products.
From a technical standpoint, ProdEye uses advanced algorithms to accurately identify products and match them with relevant feedback. We enabled fast pre-moderation of reviews to match feedback and swiftly filter out irrelevant ones or remove bots. Additionally, we developed solutions to integrate widgets into diverse website architectures and customize them to fit each customer's unique design. To boost conversions, we enhanced the feedback system and implemented personalized product suggestions.
We swiftly launched the MVP, securing our first client in just 2 weeks. To start off, we chose car tires for the MVP as they had standardized product codes, identical across all stores and were one of the top car parts sold online. Within the first 2 months, we expanded to 10 new clients, achieving a significant conversation rate growth of 15-20%.
The bottom line: stores in our network witnessed a remarkable sales increase of 15-25% and the MVP proved to be successful.
